Greatest build experience. But there is some room for improvement.
I use this motherboard for my fifth build. It was not my first MB choose for AM5 build, but my first choice was no longer available.
It is my first MSI product.
My expectation were low, but damn I'm really happy with the quality of the product. The design is great, all the connector (Case/power/fans/...) are well placed and allow a great cable management. It is my cleanest case ever. I was looking for minimalist build and this board pack a lot of features, much more than I need.
The BIOS layout is a bit weird when not used to, but it is alright and do the job just fine.
The MSI center is slow and had some hiccups. I had to re-install it.
It is the first time I have RGB lightning on a PC. The Mystic light had some problem from start. I had to shutdown (not reboot) to get the light to work. A bit more explanation on eadch mode would be great. And the game sync cause my light to switch off when game such as CSGO are started.
The fan control is a nice to have feature. But I'm realy sad I can't set the chipset fan to off in custom mode, where in the silent mode it is off under low temp.
I'm happy with the product and it does what I need it to do.
But there is one thing that grinds my gears, the packaging. The motherboard was a bit loose in the box and the box is not sealed with a sticker.
I was chocked when opening the packaging, believing someone else has opened the box. But after watching an unboxing videao, I realised it was normal.
Please MSI, seal your package and add some foam to prevent the product from being loose in the box. This lack of protection show how much respect you have for the product you sell and your customer. This first impression we have when opening a new product impact negatively the impression we have of the brand.
